Wayfinder Guide

Instead of repeatedly searching the web, checking the same sites, asking the same questions, or trying to remember what changed, you create Waypoints.

A Waypoint tells Wayfinder what to keep track of or create, how to do it, and how often to do it. From there, Wayfinder does the work automatically.

Actions you can take

From any Finding you can favourite it, comment on it, or turn it into a Social Draft. These actions are available inside the app whenever you are signed in.

A Waypoint is an ongoing instruction you give Wayfinder. It can monitor a subject for new information, or repeatedly create something useful for you. You can make a Waypoint very broad or extremely specific.

Waypoints can be private or public. Public waypoints can be followed so you don't have to create a new waypoint if someone has already created one you want - simply follow it. If one does not exist for the purpose you want, then you'll need to create your own.

Two types of Waypoints

A Research Waypoint doesn't simply dump search results into your Feed. Wayfinder researches the subject, evaluates what it finds, removes repetition, and produces structured findings about what actually matters.

Generative Waypoints can optionally research the web when fresh information is useful, and Wayfinder remembers recent generative outputs so a recurring Waypoint develops continuity rather than starting from scratch every time.

You don't need to write a technical prompt. Describe what you want as though you were briefing a researcher or assistant. The clearer the objective, the better Wayfinder can decide what belongs in your Feed. Alternatively write a very simplistic prompt and hit the 'Enhance with AI' button and then work from that.

Configure how it behaves

The Feed is where Wayfinder brings your intelligence together. Every completed Waypoint run can produce a Finding.

Research findings can include their supporting sources, giving you somewhere to verify or explore the underlying information yourself.

Feed views

Your Feed isn't limited to a chronological stream. Wayfinder can combine information from your own Waypoints, Waypoints you follow, and public discovery to surface things relevant to you. Explicit choices such as your Waypoints, follows and preferences take priority over inferred interests.

Open Wayfinder and quickly understand what deserves your attention.

A Finding is an individual result produced by a Waypoint. For a Research Waypoint, it represents something Wayfinder determined was worth reporting. For a Generative Waypoint, it is the content created during that run.

See something you want to come back to? Favourite it. Favourites turn your Feed from something temporary into a personal knowledge library.

Collections

Favourites can optionally be organised into collections — for example Cookbook, Thailand, AI or Business ideas. A Favourite can belong to more than one collection, so collections behave like flexible groupings rather than folders.

You don't always need to create a Waypoint from scratch. Explore lets you browse public Waypoints covering technology, AI, science, current affairs, travel, sport, food, learning, entertainment, business, finance and lifestyle.

Public Waypoints aren't static templates. Their public pages show their recent real output, so you can see what they actually do before deciding whether you want them.

Your Personal Preferences tell Wayfinder which broad subjects you're interested in — for example AI & technology, science, business, travel, food, sport, health & fitness or entertainment.

Rather than copying a Finding into another AI tool and asking it to rewrite it, you can create a Social Draft directly from Wayfinder. A draft can adapt the same Finding for different platforms while respecting the configured social profile, tone and formatting requirements.

Depending on your configuration, a Waypoint can also automatically send qualifying findings into the Social workflow.

The Social workflow

Not every Finding deserves an interruption. Wayfinder separates finding something from notifying you about it: your Feed remains the central record of what your Waypoints produce, while notifications alert you when appropriate.

This means you can have quiet background Waypoints that simply populate your Feed, and high-priority Waypoints that actively alert you.

As you create more Waypoints, groups help keep them manageable.

Groups organise your Waypoints without changing how those Waypoints operate.

The AI Assistant lets you work with Wayfinder using natural language. Instead of configuring everything one item at a time, you can tell the assistant what you want.

• Create five Waypoints covering different categories from my Personal Preferences.
• Create a group called Thailand and move all my Thailand-related Waypoints into it.
• Change my daily Research Waypoints to run every six hours.
• Pause all my sports Waypoints.
• Make my AI news Waypoint focus more heavily on new model releases.

The assistant understands Wayfinder concepts such as Waypoints, Findings, groups and Personal Preferences, and can use the relevant context from your account when helping you.

Some Wayfinder operations consume AI Credits. Credits let Wayfinder account for AI generation, web research and other metered work without forcing every feature into a rigid usage limit.

More complex work generally costs more than simple work. A Generative Waypoint that creates text may require less processing than one that researches current information, generates the content and creates an image.

You can view your available AI Credits from your account, and additional credits can be purchased when required.

Suppose you're planning to move to Thailand. You create these Waypoints:

Now Wayfinder continuously runs those instructions and your Feed becomes a personalised Thailand intelligence stream. You favourite particularly useful visa information, add recipes you like to a Cookbook collection, and follow a public Thailand Waypoint you discovered through Explore.

You ask the AI Assistant to create another three Waypoints useful for someone preparing to live in Thailand — and when a useful travel development appears, you turn it into a Social Draft without leaving Wayfinder.

Wayfinder isn't somewhere you repeatedly go to ask the same questions. You tell it what matters once, and it keeps working for you.
